During the Summer of 2021, all across British Columbia forest fires ran wild. Keeping this in mind, our group decided to run a car wash fundraiser to assist is suppressing the wild fires across the province. With about a group of 10 of us, we set up a station in front of the Houston Mall Parking lot. We used their facilities and water. All the money raised went strictly to donations. The work we provided was free of charge, and the amount donated was up to the donators.
We chose to support the Canadian Red Cross because it would help impact our community on a local and provincial level. The government of British Columbia would also triple our donations.
We raised a total of $653.75 CA in about 6 hours.
With the help of the government, we raised a total of $1961.25 CA
